Today My Little Princess Ava graduated from Preschool! Of course, we’re so very proud of her completing Preschool as we all know how incredibly challenging it can be. 😉
I’m so grateful for My Little Graduate. On to the next thirteen years, Baby Girl!
We received a Roku for Christmas a few years back from Donovon’s mother and stepdad, but had not really used it very much because it was in our bedroom and we don’t watch much TV in bed. So when I finished My Girl Cave, we moved it in there and I have been using every night. It helped me get through my illness last week by binge-watching old Criminal Minds and Entourage episodes. Yes, it’s silly, but I am grateful for what is now “My” Roku. 🙂
I hosted a small dinner party for some of my girlfriends tonight. My sweet husband cooked his famous Pork Marsala with potatoes and cooked spinach for us. The meal was fantastic, the wine flowed along with great stories and laughter. It was such a wonderful evening with some amazing women. I’m so grateful for such a fun Girls Night In!
Nineteen years ago today, I was blessed with one of the greatest gifts of my life – the birth of my first beautiful, sweet baby girl.
She was the sweetest baby and the most easy-going kid. It’s hard to believe she’s 19. She’s grown into this strong, independent, and compassionate young women, and I could not be more proud of her.
Alexa had a wonderful birthday capped with a very lovely dinner with her family at Maggiano’s. It was such a great time. I’m so grateful for My Big Girl’s Birthday.
After all the much needed rest over the past couple days, I felt incredible this morning. I decided to get my nails done and take My Little Princess with me.
It was a precious afternoon having some girl time with my Ava.
I think the stress and intensity of the last several weeks along with being sick finally caught up with me. I spent the entire day in bed. While it was difficult for me to force myself to rest, I’m so grateful for it.
The virus I had earlier this week reared its ugly head again because today I felt worse than I did before. As soon as I got home from work, I got into my PJs and climbed into bed. I was asleep for the night by 9 PM and slept until 9 AM the next morning.
I’m so grateful for the Friday night sleep.
In the midst of all this rain, I’m grateful for the brief break in the clouds today featuring our beautiful sun.
There’s been a lot of complaining about the abundance of rain lately, but it doesn’t bother me at all. I’ve been working or sick or cleaning my house, so the rain is of no consequence for me, and after years of no rain, we really have nothing to complain about.
I’m grateful for all this rain!
This wasn’t a mani/pedi kind of afternoon off, although I really wish it was.
I came down with a nasty virus last night and felt much worse today. I went to the doctor first thing this morning to have them test for strep, and luckily my results were negative.
I decided to go back to work which was a bad idea. I wasn’t productive and felt miserable so I left work early. And although I would have loved to use the time to get my nails done, I’m grateful that I was able to get some much needed rest on my afternoon off.
