I’ve had on my To Do List to paint our guest bedroom/My Girl Cave for months now. I’m so grateful that today I had the time and determination to finish this project!

Day 265 / Game of Thrones
I’ve been re-watching the first four seasons of Game of Thrones the past couple weeks in preparation for the series’ fifth season premiere. I’m so in love with the characters, the performances, the stories, the sets, and costumes. I’m grateful for this very entertaining and engrossing television series.
Day 264 / A Compliment from My Big Girl
Anyone who has teenage kids knows that compliments from them are very, very rare. Alexa actually compliments me more often than I would ever expect, and without ulterior motive, I must add. Today, she complimented me on my outfit. So I’m thankful for My Big Girl’s genuine compliments – she makes her mama feel good. ❤
Day 263 / These Beautiful Girls of Mine
I’m grateful everyday for these beautiful, beautiful girls of mine.
Day 262 / An Evening Walk Through Campus
As I refuse to get an overpriced student parking pass, I have to park almost half a mile from the building in which my class is held. This affords me the opportunity to not only get my steps in for the day, but also to enjoy fresh air and the beautiful St. Edward’s University campus.
Tonight, I’m grateful for just that – an evening walk through this lovely campus.
Day 261 / Quality Time with My Toot
My Toot and I got to spend some real quality time together today while we met for happy hour. While initially we got together to have drinks and laughs, it turned out that we needed time to share in our continued grief over the loss of our father.
I know my sadness had been mounting and I’ve distracted myself with work, family, and life in general. It’s easy enough to do. But it was time. It was time to talk about how much we missed him, how difficult it has been to go through life without him, how our grief is far from over.
We needed this time together even though we didn’t recognize it at first. It was cathartic. And it was healing. And I’m am especially grateful for this quality time with My Toot.
Day 260 / Easter
Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It is the end of a long Lenten season. It is Jesus’ rising from the dead. It is renewal and rebirth. It is glory. It is joy. I love it.
We celebrated with an Easter brunch with my Mom Judy, Cortney and all our families. Today, I’m grateful for Easter and all that it represents.
Day 259 / Dim Sum with Alexa
Alexa and I went on an impromptu lunch date today. We were both craving Chinese food and ended up having dim sum at one of our favorite restaurants, Chinatown.
As always, we enjoyed each other’s company and both appreciated the one-one-one time together. I’m so thankful for such a lovely lunch with My Big Girl.
Day 258 / Good Friday
So many things to be thankful for today:
A day off from work, Me-Time to take care of myself and run some long overdue errands, spending time with friends; and most importantly, the commemoration of Christ’s sacrifice for us.
My gratitude today is immeasurable.
Day 257 / A Work Week That Ends on Thursday
I’m so thankful that today is the end of my four-day work week; and for an extra treat – an impromptu happy hour with my co-workers.
