Today I attended the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event in support of cancer survivors, particularly my co-worker’s mother who recently went into remission. 

The event made me feel grateful for all the cancer survivors and what they represent – overcoming an illness that tests not only their will and strength, but the will and strength of their caregivers and loved ones. 

It was a great celebration today, and I’m so thankful for having participated.
